As part of its global expansion, in 1994 Molymet acquired Molymex SA from Carburo y Metalurgia SA in Cumpas, located in the Sonora region of Mexico. In 2000 Molymet Corporation was founded in Baltimore, USA; in 2001 CM Chemiemetall GmbH Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt was acquired. In 2003 Molymet acquired Sadaci NV in the port of Ghent in Belgium and at the end of 2005 Molymet Services Ltd. was founded in the United Kingdom.
